There is a still a dofollow on Disqus comments. Take a look at the code of this particular page and look for "nofollow" in the page by doing CTRL+F you will see there is none. It means it is all dofollow. And additional external links. For me disqus is leaking pagerank. By installing disqus you lose control over the number of external pages in your website.

Good option. But I doubt that will keep spammers out for long. Curiously though, some of them do strike a worthwhile conversation.

When this post was created, Google Bot couldn't read javascript and Disqus is powered by javascript. So, at the time, eventhough it was dofollow, it was invisible to google.

Content here are 'nofollow' and tbh as Disqus doesn't allow program utilization I would have believed it would suppress the spammers

I like using the Disqus system, but I would like to see Disqus give the option for nofollow of dofollow. I for one want links in my comments to be dofollow without having to result to a hack to get it.

The comments here are 'nofollow' and tbh as Disqus doesn't allow script usage I would have thought it would dissuade the spammers
