  I was looking for a review of the LG Dare, and reading people's feedback about the phone. When all of a sudden a women who claimed to work for Verizon dropped the idea that perhaps there would be a second in the Voyager series. Leaving us only to google the last phrase she used. " LG VX11000 that's right I said it!"

  I've done my own digging and only found rumors so take them with that in
  mind. The most credible sounding rumor was that The LG vx11000 Voyager 2
  will have a release date of November 28th, 2008 (Black Friday 2008), and
  will feature modest enhancements and a smaller footprint.

  A Verizon CSR on phonearena.com mentioned the VX 11000. But not sure he/she knows what's going on since he/she said the LG Dare was not available and criticized the reviewers who already had one. Claimed they were basing their reviews only on specs. Go figger!

  Hi Robert, It's a beautiful shot! I use a piece of software named Zemanta
  that scans my posts as I write them and suggests images from Flickr that
  might be useful. Of the 20 or so it found for me your was, by far, the
  best. I'm glad you're getting some traffic from it and I would suggest to
  anyone else that is reading the comments to give your eyes a treat and
  follow the link to see some more of Robert's wonderful work!

  While getting my ol reliable vx9800 fixed I browsed the store for a potential replacement. I have a pseudo-cousin that works there and since I couldn't find something I like better, she told me to hold out till the Voyager2 comes out. Indeed, I will. They still don't have anything that I would replace ol reliable with yet.

  I have been looking at the VX10000 but it is about time for a new version. I'd rather wait to see whatc omes up this fall. I guessed VX 11000 would be next on the list. There are very smart and connected people on the internat and I was hoping some info has leaked.

  I was in the store looking at the Voyager. I have the enV, and like it, but would like to move up. It just didn't look like it was worth breaking out the money for, and one of the guys that worked there mentioned he had my phone too, but was waiting until the Voyager 2 came out--projected "around the end of the year."

  i have the voyager, and i absolutely love it. the only reason i didn't get the iPhone was because of it carrier and i think that the voayger is great. while not on the iPhone's level still pretty good. and i was trying to find some info of maybe a voyager two coming out.

  I went to go buy the voyager last weekend (mid-August 08) and I was shocked to find out they had it for only $99.99, and the clerk cautioned me not to buy it because they were expecting the new version "very soon." I asked what he meant by "very soon" and he said as soon as a few weeks.

  I am hoping to get a new cell phone soon, and the top one on my list is the voyager, the new one once it is released. I wish it would be a little thinner than the current one, but i couldnt even begin to really speculate on how they plan on changing things. The only thing i can tell you in response to your querry is that i am looking at the voyager for the main reason that it IS so much like the iphone, in the sense that its touch screen and yet its even better since it has a QWERTY keyboard. Yet, if they had the iphone for Verison and the voyager didnt exist, i would buy the iphone anyway. If they had both, i think id be frozen between the two choices.

  da voyager been out for awhile, lg r known to have series 2 their phones, besides itz usually about that time a new voyager comes out, I'll say around NOV. 28-Dec. 28. Verizon came out with the voyager to compete with the iphone, now theres a iphone 3g, so there must b a voyager 2 to compete with it!!! My cousin who works for verizon said that there will be a voyager 2 coming out, and he the district manager for verizon too!!! so we have to good reasons why there will be a voyager 2, so look out voyager lovers lol

  I've had the same model of phone since 7th grade. It broke once but it was under warranty. Now the battery is going and i need a new phone. I want one with a QWERTY keyboard for texting. I've heard the voyager is great, and that a new one may be coming. I'm just hoping what i heard isn't the Voyager Titanium. I have a feeling that if i get that, then a new voyager will be here and i'll have the old one.

  ok so i really want the vx11000 ive had the env for 2 yrs now and its time to go up... i like the touch screen of the voyager but for a phone primary to texting it supposedly only holds 50 texts just like the env... i know the env2 has a possible inbox of like 300 messages tho... so maybe lg will finally correct this problem in the Voyager 2 too...

  how do you get it to hold up to 300? i can only hold up to 200 not that thats a bad thing hhhaha i'm happy that it holds that much. my old phone only holds up to 50 i'm like AHHH! lol

  I found this site because i am looking to purchase a voyager and i have watched video, looked at pictures and have read many articles studying it. In many of the videos they have said that they would be expecting a voyager 2 at the CTIA in San Francisco, but this has past and nothing new has come out. So i am thinking to myself, what do I do???

  Voyagers are designed to hold approximately 200 text format messages. When you throw in videos and tones the message system stores them differently. My voyager holds usually around 250 messages, sometimes more.

  In all fairness, the Voyager gives me what I need in a cell phone with out all of the excess of an iPhone. I have an iPod already, I didn't need my cell phone to do that as well. The function is on the Voyager, but it isn't based around it. Touch screen? Sure, the Voyager has that as well. Do I need it to browse the web? No, that's what my computer is for at home. The Voyager is a better text messaging cell phone than the iPhone. It's QWERTY keyboard can't be replaced by a gimmicky and overpriced touch screen interface... at least not yet. If I do use Verizon's web service on the Voyager, it's to check movie times or to get directions. It's convenient for my needs without being over the top.

  I'm looking for infor about the Voyager II beacuse I am due for a new phone next month and want to do my homework about what is out there right now for me. I have been looking at getting either the Voyager or the Blakberry Storm, until my local Verizon dealer told me aboutt he Voyager II that was due to come out. She had just bearly heard about it the day before, so didn't have mch informatiuon for me. I've been looking around online to find any pictures, reviews or release dates to see if it is worth my $$$

  i currently have the voyager and absolutely love it. although my luck hasnt been that great and ive had to do the run around with getting referbished ones. (which is common with 1st generation phones) now im eligible for an upgrade and i dont think any of the other verizon phones seem worth it. i love having a touch screen and the keyboard and none of the others offer that. so i'm wanting to see when the next one is due out and just how much longer i have to hold on to my upgrade.

  The Voyager is a popular phone that hasn't seen any significant upgrades since it's launch in 11/07. It is long overdue for an evolution that should include wifi, an upgraded camera with flash and a 2.5 mm jack. It's hard to believe that this upgrade won't occur this year.

  i searched for the vx11000 because there are rumors that a vx11000, a vx9200, and a vx7100 will be out sometime this year. the vx11000 is thought to be the voyager 2, the vx9200 is thought to be the evv 3, and i have no idea about the vx7100. i just wanted more information. :)

  I really like the voyager, but the battery is lousy and the size is a bit big. So I am hoping that the voyager 2 would fix those issues. So I wonder if it would be worth waiting to upgrade for.

  I recently upgraded to a Samsung Ominia, and while windows mobile is amazing, and incredibly geek friendly, I am NOT enjoying some of the lost features from my voyager, a physical keyboard being one of them.

  i came here because i literally have had the worst luck with phones. my first phone (random blue brick phone) my sister broke by putting the wrong charger in the charger hole...thanks sis! my second phone (an old phone which i referred to as the fat phone) fell out of my pocket at a volleyball tournament. my third phone (LG strawberry chocolate) had issues where it would randomly not work or it would randomly shut off so verizon replaced it for free. my fourth phone (the replaced strawberry chocolate) the charger hole randomly fell out of the phone. after that i got my 5th phone (the maroon LG env2) which a couple months later became destroyed because a hefty girl who I played volleyball with sat on it, but verizon replaced that leading to my 7th phone (the replacement maroon LG env2) which someone stole at a volleyball tournament. my parents decided that i am not responsible enough to take care of a phone so the gave me my 8th phone (a blue krazr) which I hated, but of course, with my luck that phone broke too and the screen completely died. I had to wait for a month for my mom to take me to the verizon store to get me a new phone. when i finally got to the verizon store to buy my new phone we were told that i had ended my contract and i was eligible for my free update, well my mom (who has the env) decides that she needs a new phone too. she decides to take my free update and get herself a new phone (THE NEW BLACKBERRY STORM) while i get stuck with my 9th phone (her old env) and i have to wait until June to get my free update. my favorite part of my mom giving her phone to me was that the charger hole was already broken, so it could not transfer over her contacts or mine. later when i went on vacation in utah to ski, of course at the most inconvenient time, my phone battery decides to fall out of my phone and make my life worse. i temporarily fixed this problem by putting a hairtie around it and later getting a zebra stripe case. when i didn't think my phone could get any worse it suddenly did. i was in reno, nv for a volleyball tournament and our coaches decided that it was a terrific idea to take away our phones and night and also when we play. when our chaperone gives me back my phone, she says it won't charge. i immediately assume she is insane and try to plug it into the wall, of course at my dismay she wasn't the one who was insane, i was because i became insanely infuriated that my phone had yet again broken down. i have not gotten a new phone because thanks to mother dearest i have to wait until sometime in june to get my new phone. thanks mom, thanks for always looking out for me. knowing i would be getting my new phone in june i wanted to see what new phones would be released then so that i could be ready to pick my phone immediately. i found this website in search of new phone releases and was very disappointed the voyager2 is being released in the end of november. but with my luck, i will be on my 13th phone that i need to get in november and will purchase the voyager2.

  I have had the Orange LG EnV for almost 2 years now. I switched to LG because I had owned two Motorolas in the years previous to the LG. I've been extremely impressed with my enV and impressed with LG altogether.
  
  It is now time to upgrade, and although I was ITCHING to do it, I just can't decide on what I want. When the Blackberry Storm came out, I was convinced that it was what I wanted. I've tested it and it is an impressive phone. But the one thing I was not willing to part with was my non-touchscreen keyboard. I am IN LOVE with the EnV's keyboard and the touchscreen one's just aren't the same.
  
  So I've been researching for weeks. The EnV2 just wasn't my style. Love the inside because it still has my keyboard, but I hate the outside. And although the EnV3 has potential and it is definitely more appealing on the outside, I still don't know how I feel about it. I've seriously been consiering the Voyager. It's a touchscreen (and I definitely feel like I need to get with the times and get one), but I still would have the option to flip it open and use a keyboard. And actually, I was pretty sold on it up until 5 minutes ago.
  
  I started searching for last minute options and I came across the possibility of a Voyager 2. And if the picture I saw it accurate, than yes! I'll wait! It looks like it may be a little less bulky than the Voyager and I'm all for it. So how long do I have to wait???? Because I'm DYING for a new phone!!!

  I'm here because I want an Iphone, and was hoping that the Voyager 2 would be way better than the Voyager. If so that would keep me on the Verizon network for a little while longer. I want the Storm, but don't want the extra expense for a data plan.

  I'm up for renewal in July... I LOVE my Env2 but want a web browser, better camera with flash and I hope its touch screen will allow page flipping, gestures and that slick doodle pad from the Dare/Versa! I CAN NOT get used to the touch screen keyboard, especially since the Env2/Voyager keyboards are so well laid out and easy to use. I need my 4-way navigation, shortcut keys and tactile feel!!!

  one more thought... Hold your Voyager or Env2 with thumbs poised at the keyboard... Imagine emailing and surfing the web, using the external touch screen as a touch pad... your fingers are right there! The hardware is already built-in! Use the OK key (or another designated key) to select (double-click) instead of tapping the screen... now you can scroll around without selecting the WRONG item and the touch screen can be even more sensitive to direction and gestures. Yep, that's MY perfect phone. I could leave my laptop at home!

  i'm upgrading soon and was gunna get the voyager but heard stuff about a voyager 2 coming out in the near future... just wondering if i should hold off to get that intead... really just trying to find a real release date because ive seen stuff about 2008 and its already may 09 and haven't seen it yet.... i have 11 days until i'm eligible..

  i came across your site while searching for the VX11000 (voyager 2)....searched for it because i have the Voyager & i was told by a Verizon sales rep that the Voyager 2 was in the works...i am curious to see what the differences are & what they have done different in the design.

  omfg i have the lg voyager 2 and it blows my socks off!!!i f*****g luv this thing it is the hottest thing that ever lived on the face of verizon wireless... i also have the new samsung alias 2 and that is almost as hot as the voyager 2 but sadly no touch screen on the alias 2

  i have the voyager and i hate it. 1) the bottons click every time you press one 2) no apps. no mypsace. no facebook 3) cant use itunes with it. 4) bad battery life 5) really bad touch screen 6) makes calls in your pocket 7) no regular headphone jack. I HATE MY PHONE haha

  I have the Voyager and I have seen and "played" with the IPhone...yes the IPhone has applications for rediculous, fun, and random things (i.e. a jack o lantern app that doesn't nothing but make jack o lantern faces) BUT the Voyager is SO much better, especially for people who text a lot because it opens to a keyboard as everyone knows. the IPhone doesn't do that it's just a touch screen and while touch screens are cool and everything it's somewhat difficult to type texts with because if your finger slips you could it a wrong button and never know it.
  
  I saw a very minor glimpse of the Voyager 2...and by minor i mean i heard the word oyager 2 and the commercial was gone! i tried looking it up online and people are saying it's a prototype at the moment and is still evolving as a phone...I have looked on LG's site, and Verizon's site and nothing has come up. I would like to know what's going on with the phone
