After having read your entries it's pretty clear that you didn't really take the time to go through the site. The things that "Superman" mentioned are true, and while it does have a slew of other features that myspace doesn't, and a few features that facebook doesn't, don't be surprised if not every social network you run into isn't trying to attack you with "brand new angles" on all the the same crap that we already know works as it is.

The idea is to mingle on a social networking site. Think of it like a club. You chose your club, and stick with it. If you've got some smarts? Maybe you'll pick more than one club. Perfspot has a pretty sweet community and there are alot of things you can do on there to kill time, with thier sweet games section, blogs, and the ease of making friends.

Not to say that your opinion is completely farce, this post is relatively old and they've made a whole sweep of changes in the past few months you probably never had the opportunity to see or know about at the time of this post.

Bottomline: Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's clear you took one look at the site, shuffled your feet around a little bit, and decided you knew all there is to know on the subject, or at least enough to try and educate other readers.

Watching the first couple of minutes of the Matrix might make you think it's just another kick-about office movie too, y'know.

-Zeromus

Re: Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue

i like perfspot features... a lot of cool deatures anmd they always update stuff. best videos features on teh internt

Re: Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue

actually see a lot of imemm ads on Perfspot.. looks like it is the opposite.. perfspot is a lot like myspace, but has a few features that are better including some offline events.. myspace will always be the king, but it is nice to have options..

Re: Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue

mr superman upthere looks spaMMY, yeah, just like PerFSpot, the major spammer in my Yahoo mail..

Re: Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue

I found out about perfspot because they started heavily spamming my favourite site - imeem.com - if you go and take a look at imeem.com you'll see that many of the features on perfspot are clones of the imeem versions. imeem seems like a better site, they have big name bands and they've got deals with big record labels like Warner Brothers and Sony

Re: Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue

God bless the Internet. If give a platform for people who have no business or real understanding of a subject to be able to voice their short sighted views. Perfspot is awesome. Sure, it is modled after myspace, the original social networking platform. But it goes so much further then they have taken it. First it is much easier to be able to customise the page. You do not have to be an amateur web designer or use a third party site to spit out an HTML code to do something as easy as change your background or completely customise your page. It is all embedded on to your page. Just up load strait from your computer. They also do not limit the amount of content you can up load. Unlimeted pic's and videos. I think the coolest feature that seprates them from the others and is the concept that is the newest thing they have never came up with is the security settings and options. You can have your public page with very limited content that everyone can see. when someone requests you as a friend you can have them be a level 1,2, or 3 security clearance. Nobody who has a lower setting attached to them can see what higher levels can see. Higher levels can see everything below them. you can customize every part of the page to these settings. Let me give you a great example. You family and church group are level one friends. They can see your vacation and hiking pic's and you kissing baby's. On level two you have your closer friends, your girlfriend, and what not. They can see some of the more crazy pic's blogs and photo's taken at the bar. Next you have level 3. You have your closets friends and .... your mistress. they can see your crazy pic's from Vegas, you passed out and acting like a fool. level 1 and 2 have no idea there is content they can not see. They can not see comments blogs or blog entries made by the higher levels. You can also sell stuff via paypal on your page!!! I got an e-mail from them informing that they are launching a business side as well. You can post your resume and network in the same place. They can only see the nice face you put forward and have no idea about the crazy pic's of you with that stripper in Vegas. One place for all. I love this site
